With full commitment to the violin-cello formation, together with their dedication and way of understanding and producing music, Duo PrismA brings with passion and creativity the many different faces in which this art can be manifested.
They created the ensemble in 2016 when the the French violinist Ioan Haffner and the Spanish cellist Eva Otero met during an orchestra tour in China. That was the starting point of their journey across the world discovering music from various cultures, learning about other societies and getting inspired by the landscapes to finally translate it all into music. Going thoroughly into the existing classical repertoire for violin and cello, from the great gems to the lesser-known pieces, folk and traditional music, rediscovering other repertoire, arranging and adapting others genres to the formation, this two musicians exploit the possibilities to the maximum as well as the ways to present it to the audience, including audiovisual effects to the performances resulting to create a more dimensional and persuasive interpretation. |
